Dear Anthony, Anna, and family, Many things have happened in my life since I left a message for you. Learning of pressing needs in of members of my local church family, The economy is taking its toll on families and individuals as well as the attacks of our enemy who seeks to destroy us and uses what is seemingly good to take us away from His church. I have become convinced of several things ( and I pray that it is God's leading for me). First I have a burden for single people,( since I have been single all my life). The church has focused on the family , as it should, however, it is losing single individuals those single by circumstance, divorce, abandonment, or the death of a spouce. I therefore, believe that God is leading me to try(with His Blessing and help)to establish home churches in my local Jerusalem ( just as the original church was based in the home, and not in a large gathering at a larger building. Both the Roman Catholic Church organization and the Protestant organizations are closing churches all around my area. Oue local Roman Catholic church is now the center for three church one of which is closed and second to be closed shortly. ( The church in my town had the fortune to have a Priest who was very frugal and amassed 1,000,000.00, before he went into mission work.) The name of the church has been changed from Immaculate Conception to Holy Trinity.( To supposedly include the three congregations. To the north of me another church, Mary Queen of the Sea, has closed. The Protestant churches are no better, The Lutherans and United Church of Christ share a minister, the United Methodist get about 30 people, and the Bretheran in Christ about 15 each Sunday. The churches in my local area are dying and it seems no one is concerned. As the churches die or are closed, where will the children learn about the Lord Jesus and His sacrifice to bring us back into fellowship with our Father, God. I am starting by posting a message in the local grocery stores to see if there is anyone who wants to return to the small fellowship of the home church, where the lives of believers are joined spiritually, economically, and where there is genuine Christian love and fellowship. Enough of my rambling, How are all of you? I always pray to the Lord for His blessing, mercy and grace for all of you. Though separated by miles, I love you with the Love of Jesus, may He fill youe hearts with His peace, Love, guidance. Your brother in Christ, Don G.

Dear Anthony, Anna, and children, You are all in my heart and mind and prayers. God's Spirit has been doing a work in my life. Through storms and strife, He is keeping me surrounded by His love. ( How He can love us in spite of all are failings, words spoken ahich should not have been spoken and words we should have spoken bue did not. Deads we have done that we should not have done and deads we should have done and did not. And in spite of all this His eternal, unconditional, love surrounds us as did our parents love when we were children. God is teaching me to rely on Him in all circumstances whether through good times or bad. He also has taught me that Conversion is the time we turn from the darkness to the light ( but is not salvation ), salvation is when God in His infinite mercy draws us into His kingdom ahowing us that the one sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross payed for all our sin (separation from God) and the shed of Jesus keeps cleansing from all sin. Praise to God for His great, Love, Grace and mercy to all of us I love you all with the Love that God through Jesus has poured out into my life. The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you, the Lord lift up His countenance on you and give you peace. Shalom tov

Dear Anthony, What a blessing God and our Savior Jesus has been to me this Christmas season. Our Christmas Eve candlelight service awesome as is the Lord. Dave our worship leader ended the service by playing Silent Night on guitar as it was first performed in the small Swiss church many years ago. Then on the 26th our worship service was on Peace and Corey my dear son in Christ played acoustic guitar and sang, When Peace like a river attendith my way, when sorrows like sea billows roar, whatever my plight, thou has taught me to say, it is well, it is well with my soul. ( This was written by a man from Chicago whose wife and two daughters were going to London by ship, the ship sank and his wife cabled him with the words, "saved alone". He went to be with his wife and wrote the words to this hymn near the place where his daughters were lost. How wonderful that Our God never leaves us or forsakes us. He will never say " I don't love you any more". Even when we are not walking with him, He waits for us to come home and runs to embrace us and tell us how much he loves us. How awesome that we are saved by His GRACE (unmerited LOVE) not by anything that we can do , for in Ephesians it is written, " For by GRACE we are saved, through faith, not as a result of works so that no one can boast. It is the gift of God to all who receive Jesus into their lives as Savior, Redeemer, and Lord. I hope you all had a Joyful Christmas, celebrating God's gift to us, His Son our sin bearer. With all my love and prayers, Your brother in Christ, Don Gauntlett

Dear Anthony, Anna, and children, You are in my prayers daily. Anna, I pray that God our Father will give you strength, patience, wisdom and discernment as you care for the children and Anthony. Anthony, I pray that God will show you His love and that He brought you through the accident for His purpose, and I also pray that God will bring people into your life that will help you to find meaningful employment serving our Lord Jesus by sharing your love and caring spirit with the poor, the broken in spirit , and sharing the Good News that God became man to reveal more perfectly His love and our adoption into His family. We are children of God through the sacrifice of Jesus our savior, who once for all bore our sin (separation from God). Amazing love, how can it be that You, our God would die for me. I wish you a Happy Christmas and a New year filled with the blessing that He will meet your every need Your friend and brother in Christ, Don Gauntlett

Dear Anthony and Anna and Family, All of you are in my prayers early in the morning and when I go to bed at night. How I would like to see you again or hear how you are doing. I am finding in life, GOD WANTS US TO BE INTIMATELY INVOLVED WITH HIM DAILY THROUGH HIS SALVATION, JESUS. Without Him, we can do nothing. AS my body ages, my spirit is renewed daily as we fellowship together, My LORD and I, talking, and for me listening for the still voice of the Spirit. May Jesus fill your lives and grant you peace, joy, meet your every need, and give you the assurrance that one day we shall be home with our LORD when the work He has for us to do is finished.

I learned recently that Joni Erickson ( who dove into the Chesapeak Bay years ago and hit a submerged log and was paralyzed from the neck down, but painted holding a paint brush in her mouth and traveled around the world talking to church groups etc. and started a ministry to get used wheel chairs to third world countries) was diagnosed with breast cancer. She started on chemotherapy and was told the meds would strengthen her bones, she asked people to pray that her bones would be strengthened. And so begins another journey for her but she is confident that Jesus is with her and will be with her what ever the outcome.

Dear Anna, I pray morning and evening that God would give you strength, patience, wisdom and discernment as you care for the children and Anthony. I also pray that Anthony will not fall into the pit of despondency, despair, and depression, but that he would focus on Gods bringing him thru this time in his life and that God has a work for him to do. I also pray that Jesus would fill his heart, mind, and soul with the peace that only He can bring. Because of the pain that he has gone through, he will be a help to others that are on the beginning of their journey. The grace of God, the peace of Jesus, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of your family.
