Hello, everyone.

On Monday, September 14, the feast of the Triumph of the Holy Cross, I admitted Anthony to Mercy Hospital's psychiatric floor for severe depression. Things had been getting worse, and we came to a point where Anthony was truly no longer functional and was refusing to do things necessary for his health. He indicated that he wanted to go to the hospital, and it was good to not need to fight him to get him there. I believe that it's where he needs to be right now. Of course, he doesn't like being there now that he's there, but I can't help him in the ways that he needs help at home, and he really needs proper counseling and meds. Despite a heavy heart as I consider his suffering, I feel at peace about having him at Mercy, and that is a huge blessing. I don't know how long he will be there, but I am hopeful about the outcome.

Please continue to keep us in prayer.

With gratitude and prayers in return,
Anna
